Forecast Tool

Use the forecast tool to view forecasted fire conditions related to risk or weather on the map from Wildfire Analyst Enterprise.

Viewing a Risk Forecast

  1. Click “Forecast Tool” in App Navigation bar
  2. Select “Risk” as the forecast category
  3. Select Hazard Type
  4. Select Risk Variable
  5. Use the forecast player view and cycle through the risk forecast
  6. Adjust the layer transparency using the transparency slider

Viewing a Weather Forecast

  1. Click “Forecast Tool” in App Navigation bar
  2. Select “Weather” as the forecast category
  3. Select Hazard Type
  4. Use the forecast player view and cycle through the weather forecast
  5. Adjust the layer transparency using the transparency slider

Download Risk Forecast Reports

Wildfire potential risk reports showing the highest wildfire potential for each day of the forecast can be downloaded for statewide, northern and southern regions.

To download a report:

  1. Open the “Forecast Tool“
  2. Click in the top bar of the forecast tool
  3. Select download area: Statewide, Northern Region, or Southern Region
  4. The report will be opened in a new tab

Pin Forecast on Map

By default forecasts are only shown on the map when the Forecast Tool is open. To keep a specific timestamp from a forecast on the map with the Forecast Tool closed, you can “Pin” the forecast on.

Click the in the title bar of the forecast tool to pin the current selected forecast timestamp on the map.
